This year’s 6th annual World Naked Bike Ride in St. Louis drew record numbers with an estimated 1,800 cyclists participating in various stages of dress and undress.

The July 27 race was part of an international event to protest oil dependency, raise awareness of cyclist rights and advocate positive body image. This year’s ride marked St. Louis as the third largest World Naked Bike Ride of 70 participating cities.

The route included several popular St. Louis commercial districts including South Grand, Cherokee, Soulard, Downtown, Washington Ave, Midtown, Central West End and the Grove.
