On Friday, May 15, employees of the city of Shrewsbury drove through the streets for a parade to celebrate and thank essential workers during COVID-19.

Included in the parade lineup were waste management drivers, police officers, parks and recreation officials, firefighters, administrators, public works employees and Shrewsbury Mayor Sam Scherer.

Citizens lined the streets with signs to say thank you to these essential employees who continue to serve their city during the pandemic.
