Members of the Kirkwood Police Department could be seen pushing shopping carts around the Kirkwood Walmart store on Saturday morning, Dec. 3, as part of the department’s annual “Shop With A Cop” holiday event. Each year, children shop for themselves or family members with the assistance of police officers. “Shop With A Cop” is a way for officers to assist the community and form stronger relationships. The Kirkwood Police Department has hosted the event since 2018. The department raises money throughout the year to pay for gift certificates that are donated to shoppers.
