On Saturday evening, Oct. 10, Algonquin Apartments held a social-distancing party to spread fall cheer among residents.
"Oktoberfest at the Algonquin" was held in the spacious parking lot behind the apartments at 55 S. Gore Ave. 35 residents and guests safely enjoyed Bavarian-themed food — brats, sausage, red cabbage, streusel, sauerkraut, real German beer and Root beer.
Terry Thompson and the Bavarian Stompers performed Oktoberfest music, as well as some classic hits.
Activities at Algonquin Apartments are organized by a six-person group of volunteers called "Neighbor to Neighbor" or N2N.
Thanks to David Wichman for photos of the fun!
