Johnson, Georgia M. of Des Peres, Missouri, born Georgia Crutcher McManus on May 23, 1934, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2019, at the age of 85.

Dear daughter of the late William Davidson McManus and Marie France McManus (born Lenhardt); beloved wife of the late Robert Lewis Johnson, whom she married on June 28, 1957; loving sister to Marilynn Cooke McManus of Bradenton, Florida; loving mother to Brett Davidson (Christine) Johnson of Manchester, Missouri, and Robert Bradley (Margie) Johnson of Columbia, South Carolina; loving grandmother and best friend to Kate and Sarah Johnson and to Samuel and Holly Johnson; beloved cousin, aunt, great-aunt and friend to many.

Georgia was a graduate of University City Senior High School class of 1952 and Washington University class of 1956; an active alumni member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority St. Louis Chapter. She taught for over 30 years in the Webster Groves School District and retired in 2001 with her last school being Avery Elementary. She was a lifelong member of the Webster Groves Presbyterian Church.

Georgia was passionate about being a good grandmother and about watching her granddaughters, Kate and Sarah, play soccer and follow in the footsteps of their great-grandfather, William McManus, who had a love for the game.

Visitation is Saturday, June 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road in Kirkwood, Missouri. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alpha Chi Omega Foundation, give.alphachiomega.org. www.boppchapel.com
