Kirkwood Fire Chief Jim Silvernail was recently named a 2023 St. Louis Titan 100. The Titan 100 program recognizes the St. Louis area’s top 100 accomplished business leaders who demonstrate exceptional leadership, vision and passion.

Silvernail is a graduate of the National Fire Academy EFO Program and is internationally accredited as a “Chief Fire Officer.” He has published text on suburban fire tactics and written multiple articles for Fire Engineering magazine. Chief Silvernail has over 25 years of experience and was a lead instructor at the St. Louis County Fire Academy, specializing in truck company operations.

He is currently the first vice president of the Missouri Valley Division of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (slated for presidency in 2023), and is a member of the St. Louis County Fire Standards Commission.

“I am deeply honored to have been selected as a recipient of the 2023 St. Louis Titan 100.  To be a part of such an esteemed list of St. Louis leaders is absolutely humbling,” said Silvernail.

Silvernail will be honored at the annual Titan 100 awards celebration on April 6 at The Factory.  Silvernail’s late father, also named Jim, was a longtime fire chief for the Mehlville Fire Protection District.
