In Annie Buck’s letter (Mailbag, May 31) she condemns the Missouri’s new pro-life bill as not valuing women’s abilities to make choices for themselves and their bodies. We all want to control our own bodies, but an abortion is controlling and killing someone else’s body, not yours. That unborn human has its own heart, body, DNA and often is a different sex than the mother.

A woman’s ability to make choices and control her body should be made before she chooses to have sex, not after. Abortion is not health care and it is not birth control. It is ending another person’s life just like any other murder.
