Michael Angelo and Judy Nellis of Davenport, Iowa, made a stop in St. Louis this week as part of their road trip along Route 66 traveling west from Chicago to Santa Monica, California. The two are traveling in a 2007 Toyota Solara convertible, wrapped in iconic images of America's Main Street — a rolling history lesson of the Mother Road. "The car is a tribute to all those people who live and work on Route 66, and to those who have ridden the road before us and to those who will follow after," said Nellis. The couple spent the night at the Wayside Motel on Watson Road, and later visited the National Museum of Transportation.
