The Orthopedic Injury Clinic in Chesterfield, Washington University Orthopedics and Barnes-Jewish Hospital have opened a second location in South St. Louis County, inside the Center for Advanced Medicine. The new Orthopedic Injury Clinic opened in September at 5201 Midamerica Plaza, Suite 1500.
The Chesterfield injury clinic opened in 2013 to help joggers, cyclists, weekend warriors and participants in youth sports who find themselves quickly in need of an X-ray, cast or splint. The South St. Louis County injury clinic is opening with the same goals in mind.
Patients who visit the injury clinics can pay a specialty co-pay for services rather than the typically higher fees charged for an urgent care or emergency room visit. The clinic is open to patients ages 5 and older. Hours are noon to 8 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, and noon to 6 p.m. on Fridays.
