The Sheldon Art Galleries presents "Wallace Herndon Smith: Portraits and Figurative Paintings," Dec. 6, 2019 - Jan. 25, 2020 in the Bellwether Gallery of St. Louis Artists. The Sheldon Art Galleries are open Tuesdays, Noon – 8 p.m.; Wednesdays – Fridays, Noon – 5 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and one hour prior to Sheldon performances and during intermission. St. Louis-born painter Wallace Herndon Smith traveled extensively in Europe and the United States, producing landscapes, still-lifes and portraits. The exhibition is organized by the Sheldon Art Galleries, and is drawn from the collection of the Bellwether Foundation, and will feature Smith’s portraits and figurative painting.
