This October, University City Public Library (6701 Delmar Blvd) will welcome the Quintessential Quilt 2019 exhibit from Circle in the Square Quilters. Quintessential Quilt 2019 features more than 70 quilts, both traditional and contemporary, created by members of Circle in the Square.
Quintessential Quilt 2019 will be on display throughout the library Sept. 30-Oct. 31, and an opening reception will be held Friday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. As part of the opening event, author and quilter Ann Hazelwood will present a free lecture at the University City Public Library at 7 p.m. in the Library’s auditorium. Later in the month, quilt artist Casey York will also present a free lecture. That event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.
Exhibits at UCPL are available for viewing any time the Library is open: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. More information about the quilt exhibit is available at www.circleinthesquare.org.
