From April 26th through June 2nd, 2019, there will be a showing of photographs by Donald Beere at the Ethical Society of St. Louis, 9001 Clayton Road, St. Lous, MO 63117. The Society is open dailey during weekdays from 9:30 am until 4:00 pm and on Sunday from 9:00am until around 1:00 pm. On May 5th, there will be a reception from 12:30pm until 2:30 pm, to which the public is invited.
The thirty-two photographs displayed fall into four groups: nature. abstract, "Reflections" and other. Don considered the "Reflections" photographs to be of special note. Just before moving from Minneapolis in 2001, Don began taking photographs of reflections of the skyscrapers in the downtown windows. Already moving towards more abstract qualities, he felt that "these photographs taught me the principles of abstract photography".
As a professor of psychology, Don taught at Central Michigan University. He also had a clinical practice for 42 years before retiring in 2013 and moving to St. Louis.
