Kirkwood Greentree Festival

The Kirkwood Greentree Festival is set for this weekend, Sept. 14-16, in Kirkwood Park, Adams Avenue and Geyer Road.
Hours are Friday, 5 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event features food, crafts, music and entertainment, a Folklife Festival and lots more. There is no book fair this year.
The Greentree Parade steps off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15. This year's theme is Rock 'n Roll! The grand marshal is retiring Kirkwood City Clerk Betty Montano.
The parade starts on West Essex at Kirkwood High School, travels east to Kirkwood Road, turns south on Kirkwood Road to West Argonne. It then turns west on West Argonne toward Geyer Road. The parade ends at Kirkwood Community Center.
